Angled Implants

Angled implantology is an implantology technique that is used in specific cases as an alternative solution to bone implants. The angle of the implants can be 17˚, 30˚ or 45˚ and avoids important anatomical structures such as the sinuses, jaw or mental nerve.

To achieve osseointegration and long-term function, an implant requires primary and secondary stability which is achieved by involving the dense bone cortex.

The maxillary tuberosity (back of the jawbone) is a type III or IV cancellous bone of low quality. The pyramidal process of the palatine bone and the pterygoid process of the sphenoid are composed mainly of dense cortical bone. These two bones provide this implant with osseointegration stability, functionality and give the patient the possibility of immediate loading (fixed provisional prosthesis immediately after surgery).

Our clinic is one of the few dental clinics in Albania that offers this innovative tooth replacement procedure. The placement of pterygoid implants requires surgical experience, expertise and training in the field of implantology. For this reason, SERDEIF Dental is the most suitable place for you, as our surgeon has a Master’s degree in Pterygoid and Zygomatic Implants from the renowned University of Pisa, Italy. We assure you that you can trust our clinic. We use modern equipment and the most advanced and innovative techniques that guarantee you an excellent result.

Zygomatic Implants

Zygomatic implant placement is a specific method used to treat patients who have suffered bone loss. These implants are longer and more angled than those used during regular dental implant procedures. Instead of being placed directly into the jawbone, the length of zygomatic implants allows them to be placed into the patient’s cheekbone (zygoma). The zygoma is a very dense bone that provides sufficient support for the implants throughout the patient’s life.
